Teen scolded by mom jumps 15 floors to death
Ghaziabad: A 15-year-old girl allegedly jumped to her death from the 15th floor of a highrise in Siddharth Vihar on Tuesday afternoon. Police said that the girl was upset after her mother scolded her earlier in the day. No suicide note was recovered and investigation is underway.According to ACP (Kotwali) Upasana Pandey, the girl lived at the highrise society with her parents and brother. She stayed home from school on Tuesday due to an eye infection, while her brother was at school and her father was at work. Police received information that a girl jumped from the 15th floor around 2.15pm.A team reached the spot and brought her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. Autopsy results are awaited. The forensic team conducted an inspection of the site, and investigation is under way, police added.On April 7, an 18-year-old girl fell to her death under mysterious circumstances from the 16th floor of a tower in a high-rise society in Indirapuram. On Feb 14, a 23-year-old woman died after allegedly consuming poison in Wave City’s Mehrauli area.
